By reinforcing the focus on innovation and digital transformation, the digitalization expert at the Krones Group is breaking through traditional ways of thinking and is acting apart of existing structures. With a background in project development in the IoT sector, Severin Diepold is convinced of the great potentials and possibilities that come with the fundamental change of the beverage industry and wants to be part of it.

Dr. Benjamin Kormann has more than ten years of experience in plant engineering. He has ever since been working in numerous research projects and supervised Industry 4.0 topics in the beverage industry. As Lead Edge Computing he is in charge of development and operations of the Syskron edge device called ReadyKit, which enables edge intelligence managed from the cloud.
Marco Nebes
Team Lead Share2Act, Syskron X
Marco Nebes’ background lies in the fields of strategy development, business analytics and innovation management. At Syskron X, he leads the Share2Act team, responsible for the development of the modular platform Share2Act for the beverage industry. Together with his experts, he drives the digital supply chain of the future in the cloud facilitating state-of-the-art technology.
Tobias Amann
Team Lead Data Science, Syskron X
Tobias Amann is head of the Syskron X data science team. His background lies in business informatics and technology consulting, where he advised clients in transformational machine learning projects. He has been dealing with data science at scale in big data environments, which implies new ways to deliver projects and manage the complexity of both IT systems and statistical models in production.
Christian Hesse
Senior Manager Data Protection, AWS
Christian Hesse has more than 10 years of experience in the area of compliance and cloud security. As Senior Manager Data Protection at AWS, he works with customers, public authorities and AWS in EMEA on all topics concerning data security and compliance. In addition to that, Christian Hesse is a member of the advisory board for CISPE Code of Conduct.
Reinis Vicups
Since 2014 Reinis builds AI production systems as a lead of small specialized software development and operations team in Weiden i.d.OPf. However, already from 2012 Reinis worked on machine learning systems solving non-deterministic polynomial-time problems in the field of Automated planning and scheduling. Currently the main R&D efforts of the team of TIKI is to realize a platform that would enable both data scientists and engineers to collaborate when building actual production ready AI systems and applications.
Dr. Josef Papenfort
Product Management, Beckhoff Automation
Josef Papenfort is Head of TwinCAT Product Management at Beckhoff Automation. In this function he is responsible for the strategic development of TwinCAT automation software. Further, he is part of several research projects on the subject of automation within it’s OWL leading edge cluster. Holding a doctorate in electrical engineering his specialist career is characterised by pioneering technology and future-proof software development. Which is why Josef Papenfort is also member of various international standardisation committees.
